Legal Disclaimer

This page sets out the limits of what WhiteCoat Prep is and what it can tell you. The rules for using it are in the Terms of Service; what happens to your data is in the Privacy Policy.

1. Practice only, no guarantee of any outcome

WhiteCoat Prep helps you rehearse. Using it does not guarantee admission, an interview invitation, or a passing result anywhere. Nothing here predicts how you will do in a real interview or exam. How you perform in practice has no bearing on any real admissions or examination decision, and no real decision-maker sees it.

2. Not affiliated with any school, programme, or examining body

We are independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, accredited by, or connected to any medical school, residency programme, university, the Canadian Resident Matching Service (CaRMS), the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP), the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC), the Medical Council of Canada, or any other admitting or examining organisation. Where we name those bodies or their formats, we are describing what we help you prepare for. Our Certification in the College of Family Physicians (CCFP) Simulated Office Oral (SOO) practice is built around the CFPC's published marking scheme; it is our interpretation of a public document, not an official product, and our cases are written by us, not drawn from any real exam.

3. The interviewer is artificial intelligence, and it gets things wrong

Every interviewer and patient on this platform is generated by artificial intelligence (AI), Tavus renders the live video conversation, and a large language model reached through OpenRouter, today Google’s Gemini, generates your written feedback. That means:

• Feedback and scores may be inaccurate, inconsistent, incomplete, or simply wrong. Running the same answer twice may not produce the same result.
• The AI is not an admissions officer, examiner, physician, educator, or licensed advisor of any kind, and its opinion carries no weight with anyone who is.
• Scores are a rehearsal aid, not a measurement. Do not read them as a prediction, and do not let a bad one discourage you or a good one reassure you.
• Observations about your delivery are drawn from an automated reading of your video. They can misread you, lighting, camera angle, a stiff neck, a disability, or simply a manner the model has no basis to judge. No human reviews your video.
• The AI may occasionally produce content that is inappropriate or off-topic. If it does, please tell us at feedback@whitecoatprep.com.

Use this alongside real preparation, mentors, advisors, mock interviews with people who know you, and your school's own resources.

4. Not medical, clinical, legal, or career advice

Our questions and cases cover medicine, ethics, and health policy because that is what you will be asked about. None of it is advice. Nothing generated here, by the AI patient, the AI interviewer, or the feedback, is medical or clinical guidance, and it must never inform a real decision about anyone's health or care. It is not legal or admissions-consulting advice either. Our SOO patients are fictional; any resemblance to a real person or case is coincidental.

5. If a session is distressing

Some stations deal with death, illness, ethical conflict, and other heavy material, and a realistic simulation can land harder than reading a question on paper. You can end a session at any time. If practising leaves you distressed, please step away and talk to someone, your school's wellness service, your physician, or a local crisis line. This platform provides no support of that kind and is not monitored by anyone who could help in an emergency. If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.

6. No warranty; limits on liability

The service is provided “as is” with no warranty of accuracy, availability, or fitness for any purpose. Section 10 of the Terms of Service sets out the full disclaimer and the limits on our liability, and applies to everything on this page.
